The Impact of the eTwinning Project
"The Hundred Ways to Be"
Florina Popescu, Romania
The eTwinning project, based on the principles of the Reggio Emilia pedagogical approach, has generated a significant impact on children, teachers, families and the educational community involved. For children, the project has stimulated the development of creativity, critical thinking and the ability to express themselves through multiple “languages” (artistic, verbal, corporal, digital). Active participation in explorations, investigations and collaborative activities has strengthened their autonomy, self-confidence and social skills. Interaction with partners from other countries has contributed to the development of intercultural competences and an open perspective on diversity. Teachers have improved their pedagogical and digital skills by using child-centred methods, pedagogical documentation and collaborative tools specific to the eTwinning platform. The exchange of good practices with international partners has fostered didactic innovation and continuous professional reflection. Families have been actively involved in the educational process, becoming partners in learning and contributing to strengthening the relationship between school and community. The activities carried out raised awareness of the importance of children's participation in their own learning process. At the institutional level, the project promoted an educational culture based on collaboration, inclusion, respect for the child's voice and learning through exploration. The results and products produced constituted valuable resources for the development of future projects and for the dissemination of innovative educational practices in the school community and the eTwinning network. The sustainability of the project is ensured by integrating the methods and resources developed into the current activities of the institution, as well as by maintaining the international partnerships created during the implementation.
